Positive Young Women Voices
Wanjiku Njenga’s upbringing in Nairobi’s Dandora slums was fraught with challenges like low-quality education, poverty, and abuse.
Despite facing these obstacles alone, she was determined to make a change. Alongside her friends, she founded Positive Young Women Voices, a community-based organization empowering women and girls through resource utilization.
Their approach highlights the strength of women and girls supporting each other, creating a powerful network for progress.
Since 2017, they have conducted numerous trainings and dialogues on entrepreneurship, ending violence against women and girls, and mentoring young girls, while advocating for relevant policies.
